Front-End Developer (on-site)
Traxxas is looking for a Front-End Developer to help bring new websites, portals, and business facing web applications to life. This new role sits in the Marketing department and will be focused on a pipeline of new development that supports an aggressive MarTech roadmap. The ideal candidate must be very comfortable serving as a liaison between the Product Owner (Marketing) and back-end developers (IT) to assure the deliverables align with the Product Owner's specifications and timelines.
- This is a FT position that is on-site in our McKinney HQ five days a week.
- This position does not manage people.
- This position sits on the marketing team and reports to marketing leadership.
- No third-party recruiters please.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Own front-end development for new websites, portals and business facing web applications.
- Own all ongoing front-end maintenance and improvements.
- Represent and drive the needs of the Product Owner (Marketing) for assigned projects.
- Serve as liaison between the Product Owner (Marketing) and back-end developers (IT).
- Influence others as the Subject Matter Expert on front-end implementation.
- Convert webpage and UI designs into high-performing, easy-to-use interfaces.
- Document and build technical wireframes suitable for back-end developers’ needs.
- Consult and assist UI/UX design to help align with front-end best practices.
- Consult and assist with legacy systems when necessary.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 5 years of corporate experience in front-end development and client-side scripting.
- Very strong JavaScript background with emphasis on maximum performance and scalability.
- Very strong HTML5 and CSS skills.
- Strong experience with front-end frameworks (ReactJS preferred).
- Experience developing responsive and adaptive websites across platforms.
- Experienced with UX and technical wireframe tools (Figma preferred).
- Experienced with CSS preprocessors.
- Knowledge of web accessibility standards.
- Knowledge of visual design principles and methods.
- Familiar with cross-browser, OS and platform compatibility issues and their solutions.
- Familiar with state management (React Context, React Hooks and Redux).
- Front-end web application experience is a plus.
- Undergraduate degree from an accredited university in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
